I would like to apologize to any visitors to the site lately for the lack of updates. Hopefully the picture will explain a little bit about what we've been up to - we have a new team livery! It takes last year's livery and borrows concepts from the Absolute Racing Porsche to create a distinct design for the team that I feel will allow us to both grow the brand of the team and our members' profiles.
Before I go further, I would like at this time to publicly thank Greg Mac and our friends at Team eSport Racer for their assistance in meeting our goals. Even though we didn't choose Greg's submission for our new team design, he did amazing work on a gorgeous concept! Additionally, he was instrumental in getting this site going. Thank you, Greg; we're happy to see your team growing and expanding your entries in the various Ricmotech SportsCar Championship series at Xtreme!
During the delay in updates, we also added a new driver to the team: Jacob Beasley. Jacob has been showing steady improvement in the ST class of the Ricmotech SportsCar Series over the last couple of seasons, and was the season 14 Open Division (AM) champion. We saw bringing Jacob in as a great opportunity to grow, as he offers new perspectives on setting up the cars and our current members' experience can help him improve his racecraft. His first race with the team was a positive step forward on both fronts with Jacob not only having his best finish in quite some time, but being the highest finishing driver for the team in the ST class (P4) just ahead of team coach David Paton.
On top of designing the new livery and working with core members of the team in refining it for final approval and then producing the design for multiple cars, I have also been extremely busy with my responsibilities with Xtreme Motorsports. As a key component of the league's new mission in regards to the appearance of the product on track and elements for broadcast and promotion, I have to touch every paint submitted and perform multiple processes including screen captures - which in iRacing can be very time consuming! There's no paint viewer, so the sim has to be reloaded each time you change cars or even if the car you're producing a broadcast overlay or spotter's guide entry for has a different wheel color.
However the latest round of changes are mostly complete, and that means I can now focus my efforts again on the track and on this team. I've had my first event in the Euro V8 Supercars series (unfortunately Chad was unable to join me this season), and we have Jennifer McDonald joining Chris Thorman, David Paton, and myself in the 24 Hours of Daytona this weekend (hence the above picture)! I'll be adding new content more frequently, and I hope you'll continue visiting the site and follow us in our racing endeavors.
Thanks for your continued support,
